FAQs

Q: Are Dogs allowed in the park?

A: Yes, but they need to be leashed & scooped up after.

Q: I didn't register to volunteer, but would like to.

A: Please go to the Volunteer tent (which will be clearly marked, and close to the stage) and get to work! It will be a fun, rewarding experience!

Q: What if it rains?

A: We all get wet - take shelter under a tent & make some new friends!

Q: Where does the $5 from the gate go?

A: This is a non-profit festival, organized and produced by volunteers. Your gate fee helps cover the costs of the event including use of the park, city streets, the Capital, insurance, trash, power, water, licenses, the bands etc. Every bit counts, so please, make an additional donation if you can - because the person behind you may not donate at all!

Q: What is Pride about?

A: Pride is a long-standing celebration of the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Everyone is invited to enjoy Pride day! During Michigan Pride our statewide community gathers at the Capital for a massive outpouring of love, fun, education and activism.
